Advice, grants and special offers to make your home more energy efficient.
British Gas Home Installation scheme
Croydon residents can insulate their homes at a discounted price and receive a £100 credit on their next year's council tax thanks to a deal worked out between the council and British Gas.
The scheme calls for homeowners to pay for the installation through British Gas (approx £250) and for British Gas to then credit their council tax account with £100.
Installing cavity wall and loft insulation can lead to savings of up to £200 a year, meaning the installation will soon pay for itself.
If you are on benefits, you can even have insulation installed free of charge.
You don't have to be a British Gas customer to be elegible for the scheme.
For more information or to apply for this offer contact Keep Croydon Warm (see associated link) and quote reference CCCT.
