Family reading groups

Aims:

  • To promote reading to children and their parents
  • To encourage children to read a range of literature
  • To involve parents in their children's reading


Brief Description:


Family Reading Groups meet in the library on a regular basis to discuss and share their enjoyment of books and to take in book-related activities including the opportunity to meet and listen to well-known children’s authors and illustrators.  

Key Learning Points:

  • To promote reading as an enjoyable pastime for all the family
  • To extend and develop knowledge of and interest in literature among children and their parents.
