Croydon Council is committed to protecting your privacy and abides by the Data Protection Act of 1998.
Data protection guidance
The council needs to collect and use certain types of information about people in order to effectively carry out its day to day operations, many of which are statutory requirements. Personal information must be dealt with properly no matter how it is collected, recorded and used - whether on paper, by electronic systems or via other means.
Freedom of information - publication scheme
The London Borough of Croydon is required under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to make available a 'Publication Scheme'. The scheme sets out what information the council will publish as a matter of course.
