Croydon's Open Space Strategy 2005-2010
This document has been developed by Croydon's Environmental and Cultural Partnerships and outlines plans for Open Spaces in Croydon.
It details the priorities and vision and ways in which, through working in partnership, we can improve opportunities that will benefit all who live, work and visit the borough.
Its vision is to maintain and enhance a network of accessible, high quality open spaces that appeal to and benefit all Croydon's residents and visitors.
In order to realise this vision for Croydon the following priorities have been established:
- Improve access to and protection of open space.
- Improve the quality and provision of open space.
- Conserve and improve the natural environment.
- Increase community involvement in, and usage of, open spaces.
We have consulted with Croydon residents to ensure that the ideas put forward in this document are the right ones, that the priorities reflect what is important to local people and actions planned will make effective use of resources available.
