Croydon's Crime Reduction Strategy 2005-2008
Croydon Council is one of a number of local organisations that forms part of the Safer Croydon Partnership, part of Croydon's Strategic Partnership, which is committed to creating a safe environment for everyone who lives, visits or works in Croydon.
As a member of this partnership, we are working towards preventing and reducing crime in Croydon through the Crime Reduction Strategy 2005-2008.
Areas to be tackled under the strategy include:
- Promoting safer neighbourhoods
- Establishing a safer town centre
- Reducing violent crime and property crime
- Preventing drug misuse and crime
- Deterring children and young people from criminal activity
- Supporting victims and witnesses of crime
- Improving consultation with citizens
