Petitions

Croydon Council welcomes petitions and recognises that petitions are a way in which people can let us know their concerns.

What is a petition?

A petition is a formal request, appealing the council about a particular cause. It must be written, either by hand or electronically, in the format set out in the petition guidelines.

Who can submit a petition?

Any person of any age who lives, works or studies in the borough can submit a petition.

What happens to submitted petitions?

This depends on how many signatures are collected.

For full details on the petitions process, please read our petition guidelines.

How do I start a petition?

You can start a petition online. To see existing petitions, sign a petition or start your own, please visit our e-petitions webpage.
