Bollywood comes to Thornton Heath Library

During the month, the library will be holding a series of Asian-related events, beginning with a crafts and storytime morning for children up to 11 years old, on Saturday 17 May from 10 to 11.30am. This will be followed by an Indian dance workshop for people of all ages. 

On Saturday 24 May, at 2.30 pm, there will be a demonstration and talk about Healthy Indian Cookery. 

Tickets for all the events are free and are available from the library now.

In addition, to promote Adult Learners Week (May 17 -23 May) the library will have a demonstration of Indian head massage on Friday 23 May between 2.30 and 4.30 pm.

CALAT (Croydon Adult Learning and Training) tutor, Angela Sollis, will provide a drop-in session with information on complementary therapy classes run by CALAT and details of relevant books and web-sites.

The library will also be running its free one-to-one IT sessions for complete beginners on the morning of the 21 May.  Ask at the library for details.
