An independent living exhibition will take place in the Arnhem Gallery at the Fairfield Halls on Monday 21 July from 11.00am to 3.00pm. Exhibitors will give members of the public, carers and professionals the opportunity to try a range of specialist equipment and seek more advice.

There will be demonstrations and products from the following professionals:

  • the wheelchair service
  • health and social care
  • sensory impairment
  • disability forum
  • care management advice
  • health promotion
  • smoking cessation advice
  • occupational therapy
  • the POP service
  • Age Concern
  • over 20 equipment providers/manufacturers.

Croydon’s cabinet member for health and adult social care, Councillor Margaret Mead said: "This event provides social care professionals as well as the general public the opportunity to see a wide range of specialist equipment which can help people live more safely and independently."
