Spring is in the air so now is the time to get fit and have fun with the council's new programme of active lifestyles courses.
The April/May programme offers a range of different classes to suit every ability, even those who have never exercised before. Back by popular demand are badminton, aquacise, Tai Chi and legs, bums and tums sessions.
Make the most of the long evenings by learning to play golf or taking up yoga or pilates. To get your feet moving there are Latin dance, tango, Bollywood and line dancing classes. Fully qualified instructors will be on hand to assist participants to either learn new skills or to just enjoy taking part.
Councillor Steve Hollands, cabinet member for culture and sport, said: "Lighter evenings and warmer days encourage us to get out more and these activity classes provide the perfect opportunity to socialise, have fun and improve our health at the same time. A wide variety of classes are available right across the borough so why not sign up for something new today?"
Brochures are now available at local libraries or can be viewed online at www.croydononline.org. Bookings can be made at Croydon Clocktower, by telephone on 020 8253 1030, or at the reception desk.
