It’s Your Croydon – so have Your Say
Welcome to Your Croydon Your Say – our pledge to local residents to involve you in deciding the future of the borough.
Whether it’s consultation on a local development, getting your views on how we should prioritise the spending of public money next year, or just giving you an opportunity to get in touch with local councillors and talk direct to the people who make the decisions in Croydon – Your Croydon Your Say aims to promote all the ways you can get involved and ensure your council listens to you.
Last year we asked you how we should spend your money in light of reduced funding – and more than 2,500 of you told us. We listened to that feedback, and set our budget accordingly in March 2011 – prioritising care for vulnerable adults and children, keeping the streets safe and keeping Croydon clean.
The campaign focuses on highlighting the following ways you can get your voice heard locally as we seek to make the most of the reduced funding available to local councils:
Question Time events
We're bringing the people who make decisions about Croydon to your neighbourhood to answer your questions about what's happening in your area, and get your view on how we can improve things. To find out more about events in your area, visit www.croydon.gov.uk/questiontime.
