Home safety advice
The Home Safety Scheme is available for families with children under five years old who live in Shrublands, Fieldway, New Addington, Broad Green, Thornton Heath and White Horse Manor.
A Home Safety Officer will carry out a free home safety check and give practical help and advice on ways to improve safety such as:
- fitting safety equipment, cupboard catches and socket covers
- checking plugs and fuses
- loaning stair gates and fireguards (£15 loan fee for each unit)
The home safety check takes about one hour. If you are eligible and would like to book a home safety check please contact the Home Safety Team.
