Gating orders

Following the introduction of recent legislation, councils now have the power to restrict access to alleyways (even if they are a public right of way) if such action will help to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in that location. For further details please refer to the policy document.

All of the information and documentation we hold relating to Gating Orders are open to inspection by the public during normal business hours.
