Bereavement services
Coping with a bereavement is one of the most difficult tasks of our lives. We can help you cope during this period of grief by removing as many obstacles as possible. We also provide as much assistance as we can with the many administrative and official tasks that need to be tackled.
For people who want to be prepared in advance we can answer queries, help with bereavement training and provide free community-focused assistance, including open days and guided walks of our grounds.
Information to help you come to terms with death and bereavement, along with contacts for advice and support, can also be found via the Croydon Online - bereavement associated link on the right of this page.
If the funeral has not already been arranged and if no one is able or willing to do this, we may be able to help. We will, however, make a claim on the deceased's estate to pay for the funeral. For more information contact Social Services for Adults - even if the funeral is for a child (details below).
Croydon's book of remembrance can now be viewed online via the Book of Rembrance associated link on the right of this page.
You can also download the Bereavement Services Events programme, at the bottom of this page.
