Occupying or moving out of business premises

If you occupy a building

In order for us to issue the correct billing, you will need to supply the following details:

• your full name (if you are a limited company, your registration number)
• your old address (if in the borough)
• your old account reference number (if in the borough)
• the date you purchased/rented the property
• the date you occupied
• the expiry date of the lease (if renting)
• the landlord's name and address (if applicable)
• the name of the seller (if known)
• any alternative billing address.

We can send you the form to complete or you can download it, print it off, fill it in and send it to the address printed on the form (see below).

If you move premises

In order to transfer your business rates account from your old address to your new one, we require the following information:

• your name
• your old address
• your old account reference number
• the date you vacated the property
• the completion date of sale
• the expiry date of the lease (if rented)
• your new business/personal address
• the landlord's name and address (if applicable)
• the name of the purchaser or incoming tenant (if known)
• the purchaser's previous address or solicitor's address (if known).

If you cease trading but don't dispose of the property immediately, please supply a forwarding address for correspondence.
