Order a bin

If you move into a house in Croydon, the previous resident should have left the bins for you. If they haven't, you will need to order a replacement.

New bin delivery delays

There is currently a delay of 12 weeks to deliver new bin orders.
If you are  waiting for a new general waste bin to be delivered, you can leave waste in tied bags in the place you would normally leave your bin for collection. This is only for general waste - you can not leave recycling in this way.

We will prioritise the delivery of new bins to residents who have no waste or recycling bins.

We understand that this is an inconvenience and we are working closely with our contractor to resolve this issue. Thank you for your patience.

Larger bin

If you have 5 or more people living in your property, or you have a medical condition that generates a lot of waste, you can request a larger general waste bin by phoning the contact centre on 020 8726 6000. Please note that you will need to provide evidence.

What to do if you don't have a bin

No recycling bin

If you don’t have the correct bin or box please separate your recycling into untied carrier bags on your collection day:

  • One set of bags containing paper and cardboard
  • Another set of bags containing tins, bottles, jars and plastics etc

No food waste bin

Food waste can go in tied bags with general rubbish.

No general rubbish bin

General rubbish should be in tied bin bags and put out on your collection day.

New builds and house conversions

Bins for new builds and house conversions are the responsibility of the managing agent, developer or owner and they should contact us to order new bins. We need 1 month notice for delivery of new bins. You can order a new bin online.

Read our new builds and conversions waste management guidance for architects and developers.

Bins must be located within 20 metres of the collection vehicle. If this is not possible, the driveway leading to the bin store must meet highway standards.
