Civil emergencies - emergency planning
You can cope with disaster by preparing in advance and working with families, friends and neighbours
- The council plan for emergencies

- Community risk register

- Potential incidents or disasters

- The community group

- The Croydon resilience forum

- Town centre evacuation plan

Where there is a disruption to any service provided by the Council, action will be implemented, as quickly as possible, to rectify the problem. In respect of a more serious incident such as:
- air transport crashes
- rail system disasters
- large chemical and pollution incidents
- disorder incidents
- bombs and other terrorist activity
- extreme weather - storms and flooding
- building and structural collapse.
Plans are in place for the Council to support the Emergency Services and the community to help restore normality as quickly as possible.
The Council therefore maintains an emergency response capability to ensure when an emergency does occur; the appropriate specialist help can be deployed. This service functions 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, through the CCTV Control Room at Taberner House.
