Emergencies - major incident reponse
It is common for those who have been exposed to a major incident to suffer emotionally.
- After care for victims

- Location of council response co-ordination

The council CCTV control room will be involved in activating any initial response and will undertake the call-out of council officers to provide the reaction appropriate to the incident.
The centre is provided with telephone and radio communication links and is able to monitor the incident via the council CCTV system.
To aid the council response at the scene of any incident, a highly visible Emergency Control Vehicle (ECV) will be positioned next to the emergency services on site control centre. This will provide a base of operations for council support staff at the scene and will later become a focus for aiding any long-term recovery at the incident site. The ECV is fitted with equipment to assist in enhancing council radio reception across the borough.
