Emergencies - major incident reponse
It is common for those who have been exposed to a major incident to suffer emotionally.
- After care for victims

- Location of council response co-ordination

The type of assistance will depend on the type of incident and the response required. Contact details are available where specialist equipment is required. If evacuation is necessary plans have been made for temporary accommodation at community centre, schools, sports centres and church halls, according to the circumstances and location. These are known as rest centres.
Council staff will help and support the displaced displaced with food, blankets and other immediate emergency needs. The voluntary agencies (e.g. British Red Cross, Women's Royal Voluntary services, St John Ambulance, Age Concern and Salvation Army) will assist the council in providing support and understanding to those affected by the incident.
