If you are on a low income you could receive council tax benefit to help pay all or part of your council tax.
Council tax benefit is based on:
- the amount of council tax you are charged
- your income and savings and that of your partner and anybody over 18 who lives with you
- your personal circumstances and that of your partner and anybody over 18 who lives with you.
We pay the benefit directly into your council tax account.
