London Borough of Croydon

In order to know how much your local housing allowance (LHA) will be, you need to know in which broad rental market area (BRMA) your house or flat is situated.

Croydon has two BRMAs. Most of Croydon is in the Outer South London BMRA, but part of the borough is in the Inner South East London BRMA.

The following postcodes fall within the Inner South East London BRMA:

  • SE25 6BN, SE25 6BQ, SE25 6DP, SE25 6DU, SE25 6DR, SE25 6DS, SE25 6DT
  • SW16 4AA, SW16 4BT, SW16 4EU, SW16 4AD
  • postcodes beginning SE19
  • postcodes beginning SW16 3.

Croydon has a small area that falls within both BRMAs. It contains properties with the postcodes CR7 8EH, SE25 6SU and SE25 6SX.

If you know your postcode and want to find out which BRMA you are in and/or the LHA rate for your property, see the LHA Post Code Search associated link.

Please note that the rent officer is responsible for fixing the BRMAs and the LHA rates, not the council. The LHA rates are updated monthly.
